Clinton fighting for VP...as she has been for a long time

I called this a while ago. Hillary hasn't been fighting for the top slot for about a month now, if not longer. She knew she was dead in the water. She also knows that her only hope to ever be President now is either an Obama defeat (which is both highly unlikely and even if it happens doesn't guarantee her much of a shot in 2012) or as VP for 8 years. Her chances are slim regardless, but being a VP candidate is the only way to hang on.

I think she has rather obviously been trying to twist Obama's arm into making her the VP candidate. This is why she keeps harping on his losses among some demographics and making constant attacks. The more damage she does the more damage she proves a prolonged campaign will cause to him. Additionally, the more she makes it seem like he can't win certain groups which she does well in the more she makes it seem like he needs her to win in the general. Which leads into my next point as to how she has been overtly claiming she can win in November where he can't. She is trying to make herself indispensable to him.

Now, you may counter this argument with "but aren't this good arguments for winning over voters?" Well, yes, no. and it doesn't matter Yes, it would seem so, but it hasn't worked. Most would change a losing strategy. The "come back Clintons" would certainly know how to do that. She stayed the course. Besides, it doesn't matter, she obviously COULDN'T win. The Clintons are anything but stupid. Think what you want about them, but you have to admit they are very bright people. She wasn't going to run around the country wasting her time, effort and TONS of her own money in an obviously losing effort. Some may want to blindly accuse her of vindictive spite, but do you REALLY think spite was worth such a high cost? C'mon, be reasonable, its not worth it. It is far more likely she was trying to strong arm her way into VP so she can remain relevant and perhaps get the Presidential nod in 8 years.
