Gingrich getting right? The apocalypse is here

Thats right folks, for the first time ever I agree with Newt Gingrich. Get to your local church and say some real good Hail Marys b\c the apocalypse is here. Prepare to meet St. Peter and check out the holy gates and other euphemisms.

Early campaigns do start too early. They are ridiculous. Sound bite candidacies, or presidencies in the case of Bush, are scary and horribly hurt the nation. Obama should not be chewed out for his comments on Pakistan, though perhaps it was an error I think its more of the stern talking to variety. Furthermore, he has a solid point about Dean, he is kind of weird and when more people paid attention they realized it.

OK, he goes a little awry at the end here with the 9 90 minute conversations with America (like people are going to watch this) but still all in all not a bad speech from him. I will add that I think he is right about people not paying attention, and it has scary implications for Republicans. Those people who are paying attention are lambasting pretty much all of the Republican contenders. They still poll OK in the general match ups. However, that polling is not of likely primary voters but of ALL voters, the ones who aren't paying attention. When they start to look over the slimy Giuliani, the boring and uninspiring Thomas, the flip flopping Romney and the almost was former independent turned bitter right-wing hack McCain they are going to laugh about even considering them and pull the lever for the Democrat. So start chilling the champagne and yes, please measure the drapes we are going to want to keep that light out when we're hungover, b\c there is going to be some serious celebrating next November my liberal friends, and for the 2nd time in as many years we won't be watching someone else doing it.
