An audience with King Dubya

President Bush has invited Congressional Democrats to the White House to "discuss" the war-funding bill. Of course, one has to wonder what the point of this is, since a White House spokesperson pointed out that "this is not a negotiation."

Reading between the lines its clear that the president will be informing the Dems that they better step in line and give him the bill that he wants to sign or else.
"Perino's description of Bush's invitation immediately raised questions about exactly what the point was. When a reporter said it sounded like an invitation for Democrats to agree with Bush, Perino said, "Well, hopefully so."

So Dems, you better step in line and stop supporting your incredibly popular bill. Oh, and while you are at it, bend down and kiss the royal ring since the King is doing you a favor by seeing you at all.
