Kudos, Gov. Spitzer

Making good on his campaign promise, NY Governor Eliot Spitzer will be introducing a bill to the NY legislature in the coming weeks to legalize gay marriage in that state. Kudos, Mr. Spitzer for proving yet again that you have a spine and will stand up for what you believe in. To many democrats out there (see: all the frontrunners in the democratic presidential primary) pay lip service only to gay rights while also opposing marriage equality in favor of the patently "separate but equal" civil unions. Hopefully NY lawmakers will follow the led of their governor and stop marginalizing a vital segment of their population.
