McCain links 08 bid to Iraq

As previously reported,
"Sen. John McCain, staking his struggling presidential candidacy on the Iraq war’s outcome, embraced the unpopular conflict anew and defended his unwavering support for President Bush’s troop increase."
A while ago, the Maverick joined the (very hard to crack) list of my 10 least favorite republicans when he started sucking up to the Falwells and Robertsons of the world. Its one thing to be a sycophant, but its a totally different thing to pretend to be a principled moderate and then pandering to the right in a power-hungry bid for the presidency. Its especially callous for him to embrace Bush considering the swift-boating he got in the 2000 election. Its become clear that McCain doesn't care about his maverick credentials, but only cares about his personal fortunes. So I'm glad to hear that he is basically conceding the race by linking a foundering candidacy to a foundering war.

All the Republican candidates are doomed... the country is FINALLY ready for a change. The Republicans just keep making it easier and easier for us to win.
